“Baseball is almost the only orderly thing in a very unorderly world. If you get three strikes, even the best lawyer in the world can't get you off.”
Bill Veeck

“…facts are like cows. If you look them in the face hard enough they generally run away.”
Dorothy Sayers

“The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.”

Brian d. Spector,
Founding Shareholder

Founding member and senior shareholder of the firm, Brian has been practicing law in New Jersey for over 27 years. He specializes in complex business litigation, bankruptcy, creditors’ rights, commercial transactions and corporate law. He has also handled casino regulatory law.

Prior to founding Spector & Ehrenworth, Brian was a partner at a prominent Morristown and Atlantic City firm, where he started and chaired its bankruptcy department, and represented various casino industry clients before the New Jersey Casino Control Commission. Brian has also served as the Secretary for the Supreme Court of the State of New Jersey District X Fee Arbitration Committee.

Brian has been selected as a New Jersey “Super Lawyer” in business litigation. Only 5 percent of New Jersey attorneys across 60 practice areas receive “Super Lawyer” status each year. They are selected by their peers and verified by an independent, attorney-led research staff at Law & Politics Magazine.

Brian has also been featured in a cover story in the New Jersey Law Journal regarding a notable case he tried in which he was able to shift a large portion of his clients’ fees and expenses to the opposing party under the New Jersey Offer of Judgment Rule.
